Are Offices easily accessible in Amsterdam City Center?
Amsterdam Centre distinguishes itself through its excellent accessibility, especially by public transport and bicycle. The compact city centre makes it easy to move quickly through the area.
Met de auto
By car, the centre is less accessible - and that's actually good for livability. Parking is expensive and scarce, with rates that can go up to €7.50 per hour. Most office locations don't offer their own parking spaces. For those who must come by car, there are parking garages such as Q-Park Centrum Oosterdok and Byzantium, but expect substantial costs. The A10 ring road is accessible via various exit roads, but traffic in the centre itself can be slow.
Met het OV
By public transport, you have plenty of options to choose from. Amsterdam Central Station is the main hub, from which trains depart to all of the Netherlands and beyond. The North/South line (metro 52) connects the centre with North and South, while the East line (metro 51, 53, 54) provides fast connections to East and Southeast. Tram lines 1, 2, 4, 5, 9, 13, 14, 16, 17, 24 and 26 crisscross the centre and provide connections to all districts.
Te voet en met de fiets
The bicycle is perhaps the best means of transport in the centre. With extensive bicycle parking at stations and office buildings, and the ability to rent an OV-fiets anywhere, you'll be at any destination within minutes. The flat streets and many bicycle bridges make cycling not only practical but also pleasant.
